The sun rises, falls and rises again

And time is just that, the sun rising, falling and rising again. If we are lucky we see another day, but I don’t take a day for granted, and I am grateful for each one , even when they don’t go as well as I plan for.

Confidence

Confidence is something that comes and goes depending on my feelings at the time. Some people appear to be confident all the time, lucky them I say. But I am like a roller coaster and my confidence can change throughout a day. However today I have been to a networking event, my first in this  incarnation, and I met some lovely people and made some contacts that may prove to be helpful.

Yesterdays collage all about the pattern, and todays work heavily influenced by views from my garden and left over bits from making .

I knew there was something

I knew there was something I should of been doing yesterday, but for the life of me I couldn’t think what it was . I carried on with work in the garden and only later on in the evening when I was so stiff and sore from digging in the garden I could hardly open my hands I remembered, I had loads of collages I hadn’t posted, opps, oh well here we are, collages up to yesterday.

August last post:delays on the line

“The Piano Has Been Drinking (Not Me)” Tom Waits

The piano has been drinking, my necktie is asleep
And the combo went back to New York, the jukebox has to take a leak
And the carpet needs a haircut, and the spotlight looks like a prison break
And the telephone’s out of cigarettes, and the balcony is on the make
And the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking…

And the menus are all freezing, and the light man’s blind in one eye
And he can’t see out of the other
And the piano-tuner’s got a hearing aid, and he showed up with his mother
And the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
As the bouncer is a Sumo wrestler cream-puff casper milktoast
And the owner is a mental midget with the I.Q. of a fence post
‘Cause the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking…

And you can’t find your waitress with a Geiger counter
And she hates you and your friends and you just can’t get served without her
And the box-office is drooling, and the bar stools are on fire
And the newspapers were fooling, and the ash-trays have retired
‘Cause the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
The piano has been drinking, not me, not me, not me, not me, not me

I always end up with Toms songs on holiday, not sure what that says about me and holidays .

Poor internet and other boring things have conspired against me posting all my collages, hopefully now I have mastered the techno gremlins .
