I have been busy volunteering at the Spare parts festival which is part of the Tram Sunday Festival in Fleetwood. It is a great event and I will defiantly go next year, just perhaps not as a volunteer. Yesterday I helped a roving theater act, dressed in a rubber horses head. Best not ask, it was one of those,’ you had to be there ‘moments, and I was setting up the virtual reality head sets for people swinging their way to their virtual worlds.
Well it did mean there was another day without posting my print. I nearly gave up on the whole project this week, its been a bad week, it almost seemed pointless carrying on. However, despite my mood, the prints have been produced and I am here posting them, late, but here they are. I have found an old mangle too. I am hoping that I could use it to make more successful etchings and lino prints. Perhaps it might be enough to lift my mood back up to something a little more positive.
14.7.18 was made using a new gel plate made in a drawer divider someone gave to me. It is quite long and thing and it was nice to use a different shape.
The print 16.7.18 has been made using the old mangle, quite pleased with it . I used a small piece of foil card and drew into it.
