Well, I always say I am a bit of a luddite. I was not born in the age when everyone had computer, so everything computerised seems to take me a long time to get right. Even writing, although I enjoy writing, my grammar or spelling is not always correct. So much for all the fancy new techniques to teach children to read and write in the 1970’s! Thanks to the messing about of my early teaching and learning I am sure I have been left with an inability to see words correctly. And I do fear writing anything for dread of those special people who seem to jump on every mistake with a venom that causes me to recoil in fear of writing at all. Do they think shouting down publicly anyone who makes a mistake is going to make it better? or less likely they won’t make the same mistake again? And yes, I know about spell check, And I do believe you have to be able to see your mistake before you can begin to make it right.
